Becker-Posner on India versus China

The Economist cover article predicting that India will beat China in growth numbers has evoked many responses. The famous duo Becker-Posner have an interesting take on whether autocracies are better than democracies for growth and development. See the post linked here.
Becker concludes: Overall, I expect India’s growth rate to be lower but more stable, and that stability might be worth a lot.
Posner ends up comparing China to Nazi Germany, in a somewhat disconnected comparision: "All true; but we know what happened to Nazi Germany."

Really Interesting post. I'd read the original article, and you're right, the effects of systems of governance on growth is generating a lot of opinion.
